You can begin this quest by speaking to Senir Whitebeard near Kharanos, but you must have completed Senir?s Observations II first. Speak to Senir and he will say:

I'm behind on my report, and could use your help. I just managed to find where the trolls are holed up, but I saw so many trolls, I was afraid to go in.

Here's what I need... Go down to the cave, poke around inside, kill a few of the trolls, then come back here.

Take the road north out of Kharanos, when you get to the bridge, follow the frozen river west until you reach Iceflow Lake. You'll find Brewnall Village on the west bank. The Hold is southwest of the village.

Why is it I get the feeling these dwarves are all civil servants? Seems they?re both too lazy and too scared to do the work they?re told to do, hehe. Or maybe they?re just too busy drinking beer. Anyway, this is a group quest, so I guess you can?t really blame old Senir for not entering alone. You?ll find Frostmane Hold to the northwest of Kharanos, south of Gnomeregan. Outside you?ll find some Frostmane Headhunters (level 8-9) poking around, looking for heads I suppose! Kill them and continue into the cave. Here is the harder part, for in here you?ll encounter Frostmane Snowstriders (level 8-9) and Frostmane Shadowcasters (level 9-10). You need to go deep into the cave before you get the ?exploring complete? message. When you?re done, head back to Senir, who will say:

Ah! I didn?t think you?d have much trouble finding the place, my directions are excellent, you know?
