Did you know..?
That Ner?Zhul, the lich king of the Scourge was once an orc shaman? He was killed during the wars in Draenor, but he later returned as a powerful leader of the undead. |

| Why so "few" guides online? | | 2005-02-28 14:38:23 CET | | We do not automate. Simple as that.
Every guide is handwritten, and that takes time. If you would like to see even more guides online, please write us a few and submit them by mail, through the forums or via the quest submitter.
We have been playing a lot, so expect to see more guides from us very soon, however, we can only cover this many guides. If you can spare the time and effort, write a guide or two for the quests that you found difficult.
Thank you. |

| | Skill- and profession specific search modifiers | | 2005-02-22 20:37:25 CET | | We have recieved quite a few requests about skill- and profession specific quest search modifiers from visitors not stating an emailaddress, that can't contact directly with an answer - so we'll reply here :)
Search modifiers for skill and profession won't be implemented in the near future, since it is only a very few quests that are dependant of either one. At the moment we aim for more general search modifiers that covers the majority of quests, but ofcourse it may be added later.
Right now we are - depending on Blizzards accept - planning the development of a program that can ease the contribution of quest guides from users, and this is where our main focus is at the moment. The goal with this is to make it extremely easy to write your own quest guide, and to submit it with a minimum of trouble. |

| | Blizzard updates the official FAQ | | 2005-02-10 01:25:28 CET | | We just recieved word from Blizzard, that they are going to update theofficial WoW FAQ on the European WoW site tomorrow. Thundgot points out a few of the added questions, regarding accounts and payment option:
Do I need to enter credit card information to register an account?
When registering an account to play the game you will have to choose one of the available payment methods. If none of the alternative payment methods apply, you would be required to use the credit card option. (Please note that a credit card will also be required for those players who plan to use pre-paid game cards but wish to start playing before they become available on the 4th of March.)
Can I change my preferred payment method after creating an account?
Yes. You will be able to edit your account and your preferred method of payment. If, for example you wish to switch from credit card to the pre-paid solution, you will be able to do this as soon as you have your pre-paid game card number.
What payment methods are currently supported?
Payment is accepted in Euros and English pounds and includes the following methods:
- Major credit cards: Visa (including Electron), MasterCard, American Express.
- Local cards: Carte Bleue (France), Switch, Solo, Delta (United Kingdom).
- Electronic Direct Debit: including country specific such as ELV (Germany).
When will pre-paid cards be available in Europe, and how much will they cost?
Pre-paid game cards will be available on 4th of March, prior to the end of the included one-month subscription. Costing 26.99?/?18.49, each card will give a 60-day subscription to the game, accessible via this website using the scratch-off code on the reverse of the card.
The cards will be sold in DVD sized boxes, localized into English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, and will be available through retail outlets where the game is sold.
If I pay by pre-paid card, will I still need to have another payment method stated on my account?
No. When the pre-paid cards are available, this number will be the only one required.
Can I use US pre-paid cards for a European account?
No. You will need to use a European pre-paid card for a European account.
This is not released yet on the Europe WoW site, but you'll find it online from tomorrow morning.

| | New function on quest search - specific modifier | | 2005-02-06 20:45:02 CET | | On request we have added a specific modifer on race and class, on the quest search.
This means that you can now search for quest guides that can only be taken by a specific class or race. We hope this will help you in your searching.
Thanks to Bigfoot- at #mysql on Quakenet for helping out (translated: using several hours helping out, giving general tips and writing the actual query). Couldn't have done it without his help, pay the channel a visit if you use MySQL. ;) |

| | You can submit your own quest guides! | | 2005-02-05 19:25:08 CET | | Questkeep is only partially driven by visitor input right now, but we would like that to change. In time, our goal is to have quides for every single quest in the game - written by players, not machines or scripts. Although the part of guides that are user submitted as of now is only a fraction, it is what this site is all about - players writing guides for other players.
If you would like to try writing a quest guide, it's pretty easy - just submit it through this form.
When it goes online, your name (and a link to your website, if you like) is accredited as the original author of the guide, permanently. It will take us from a few hours to a couple of days to review theguide and put it online. |

| | Beta will end soon! | | 2005-02-02 17:16:36 CET | | Official word from Blizzard
Blizzard Entertainment today announced that World of Warcraft will officially release in Europe on Friday, 11th February, 2005.
With the launch less then two weeks away, the European infrastructure is in the final stages of preparation. The second phase of the Final Beta has been launched, more than doubling the number of players in the game, making World of Warcraft bigger than the current and entire European MMORPG market. In addition, just prior to launch, the existing servers will be taken offline and wiped clean, which will erase all current accounts and characters. This will help us to ensure that the game launches in the best possible conditions and also means that all players will start afresh on an even footing.
